Kiselev was accused of a coup d'etat attempt in the "LPR" in late September 2016. Soon after, some media reported that Kommunist died in detention. Later, "LRP" officials made a statement that Kiselev was alive and held as a detainee, his rights exercised. "LPR" "prosecutor" Rakhno said then that Kommunist testified and revealed his cronies.
"The truth is that Kommunist was killed right after the first questioning. They were too hard on him, so to say. So he died. They attempted to save him, but failed," a source from the "LPR" "law enforcement" agencies told Gazeta.

In late January, Kiselev was convicted of assisting the coup d'etat, which is punished by 12 to 20 years in "LPR" prison. The "law enforcers" of the breakaway republic said Kiselev was is a safe place, his security guaranteed. No one has seen him since then, Gazeta wrote.
