 Canadian instructors certify another 15 Ukrainian EOD experts. PHOTOS

Another explosive ordnance disposal and improvised explosive device disposal training course completed at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Demining Centre in Kamianets-Podilskyi today, Feb. 14.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the certificates were granted to 15 members of the Mine Action Centre whom their Canadian colleagues had been training to dispose of explosive ordnance and improvised explosive devices under NATO standards for 1.5 months.

During the ceremony, Joint Task Force Commander, Canadian Armed Forces Major Dave Amundsen once again noted achievements and high motivation the Ukrainian military demonstrated during training. He also awarded a commemorative medal to the group's best student Private First Class Serhii Alennik who was leaving for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area the next day.

In turn, Demining Center Deputy Chief, Colonel Oleh Havryliuk thanked the foreign colleagues for their professional approach to the training of the Ukrainian EOD experts, and assured that the Demining Center officers would definitely use acquired skills in combat missions in the ATO zone and while training their colleagues from other military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Canadian instructors certified more than 160 members of the Demining Center in 2015.
