As reported by Censor.NET citing LIGA.net, it was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a joint news briefing with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.
"We have been witnessing attempts to foment inter-ethnic, inter-human strife in the territory from the Donbas to the banks of Dnister River. It is hard to imagine where this fire would have reached if it had not been for the fortitude and heroism of Ukrainian soldiers," he said.
According to him, 25 years ago Moldova was faced with the same challenge and lost part of its territory.
"Now we are seeing persistent attempts to impose such reintegration models on Moldova and Ukraine that will allow decide the fate of our nations from the outside. These attempts are doomed to failure," the president added.
He stressed that Ukraine and Moldova will restore their sovereign internationally defined borders.
