"The year's work of the criminal police of Ukraine. For those prone to analyze rather than go hysteric. The information marked with yellow and red is thought-provoking, isn't it?" Avakov wrote, adding that the criminal police is part of the National Police of Ukraine.
The yellow circles indicate percentage of cases solved by the criminal police, and the red ones show the percentage of criminals subsequently arrested by courts.
Earlier, Head of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department Serhii Kniaziev said 2016 saw 1,655 murders, which is by 250 less than in 2015. Of them, 1,428 have been solved. However, there was an increase in the number of murders committed with firearms (286 against 256 in 2015) and explosives (41 against 31 in 2015).
Overall, 154,700 crimes were solved in 2016.
