 Pro-Russian militants opened fire 61 times yesterday; no losses among Ukrainian military recorded, - Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, pro-Russian troops opened fire upon Ukrainian Army positions 61 times.

Censor.NET reports citing the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press service's statement on Facebook.

"A total of 61 cases of fire were recorded. No losses reported among our military," the statement says.

In Donetsk direction, Russian militants employed mortars of various calibers to shell Luhanske, Avdiivka, Troitske, and Verkhniotoretske. Grenade launchers and small arms were employed upon Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Opytne, and Pisky. Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka and Opytne also came under IFV weapon fire by the enemy.

In Luhansk direction, the invaders fired mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms upon Shariv Kut, Lobacheve, Novooleksandrivka, and Novozvanivka. An APC operated upon Vodiane.

In Mariupol direction mortars were employed by the enemy in Vodiane and Pavlopil. The Russian troops fired grenade launchers and small arms upon Pavlopil, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne, Marinka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Vodiane. Ukrainian defenders in Shyrokyne came under IFV weapon fire.

As reported, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine recorded 910 explosions in the Donbas on Feb. 8.
