The representatives of the Russian Federation ignored Skype conference of the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the situation in the Donbas, which was convened at the initiative of the Ukrainian side due to sharp deterioration of the situation in Avdiivka.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"Russian officials have thwarted today's Skype conference convened at the initiative of the Ukrainian side in connection with the failure to maintain cease-fire in the vicinity of Avdiivka," a source told the news agency.

According to the source, the Russian side initially confirmed its readiness to take part in the talks, but later said they were meaningless.

Eventually, Ukraine and the OSCE held the talks without the Russians.
