 Merkel: Germany set to continue assisting Ukraine in reforms implementation

German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomes successful implementation of reforms in Ukraine, pledges to provide further support.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, before the meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the German leader welcomed vital reforms taking place in Ukraine.

She said Ukraine had fulfilled all its commitments under the challenging program of cooperation with the IMF.

According to Merkel, the German government supports and welcomes steps made to reform Ukraine's economy and the state as a whole.

She assured that Germany would continue assisting Ukraine on its path of reforms.

The German chancellor also expressed satisfaction by the economic growth Ukraine showed in these challenging times and the fact that the exports from Germany to Ukraine increased by almost 17 percent over the first three quarters of 2016.
