 New feeding system to be introduced in 25 military units in 2017, - Poltorak

25 Ukrainian military units will see a new nutrition system this year.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said at the opening a Reforms Committee meeting, Censor.NET reports citing LІGA.net.

Poltorak said a food supply experiment had been conducted in two military units in 2016.

"The experiment was a success, and 25 military units will switch in 2017 to the new nutrition system which will be up-to-date and much better than the previous one," he said.

According to Poltorak, a new ration pack composition has been approved, with procurement and supply being underway.

The minister also highlighted the completion of a clothing supply reform and adoption of 17 NATO standards regarding both clothing and personal protective equipment. A system of electronic registration of property at units and warehouses is being implemented.

He also announced that a military and medical doctrine of Ukraine has been developed and submitted for approval.
