It was announced by the SBU head Vasyl Hrytsak, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"Heinous crime, an assassination of Ukrainian MP, was prevented yesterday in Kyiv," Hrytsak said.
According to him, the secret services of the Russian Federation were involved into the assassination attempt.
Two suspects, who communicated with Russian supervisors, were detained. They were going to install explosive devices into the MP's car and escape to Russia afterwards.
