 Ukrainian citizens, government recover 9B hryvnia due to PGO claims in 2016, - prosecutor general

In 2016, Ukrainians and government bodies were awarded 15.5 billion hryvnia in lawsuits filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO), while almost 1,000 illegal judgments were canceled.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Citizens and government bodies were awarded 15.5 billion hryvnia in 2016 in lawsuits initiated by the PGO. 9 billion hryvnia have been actually recovered," Lutsenko wrote.

"Almost a thousand illegal judgments were cancelled, which averted 2.3 billion hryvnia worth damage," the official wrote.
