 Hroisman: ‘We need to implement high-quality land reform by 2020”

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman says the land reform in Ukraine should be completed by 2020.

The PM said at a Cabinet meeting, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We have very clearly defined our priorities in the budget for 2017, including the country's agribusiness industry. That is, we have sectors, which can provide substantial and sustainable boost for potential growth. They include agribusiness, which must also be reformed. We believe that we must implement high-quality land reform by 2020 in the best interests of Ukrainian citizens and our country.

"We must encourage agribusiness development through various support programs. We will be able to provide support to live stock breeding, horticulture, farm machinery building as early as in the coming year. Everything I have just mentioned makes positive impact on the economic development, generates added value and creates new jobs in the country," the prime minister said.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman said that no decision regarding the moratorium on agricultural land sale could be made until government had clear understanding of all the peculiarities of using such a land.
