 Russian militants shelled Myronivka with 152 mm artillery; total number of yesterday's cease-fire violations - 22, - Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, Dec. 22, pro-Russian militants opened fire upon Ukrainian forces' positions 22 times.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced in a morning statement by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

According to the Staff, yesterday Russian occupation troops concentrated their fire efforts mostly in Donetsk direction:

"They used artillery of 122 mm, mortars of 120 mm to impact our positions near Luhanske. Using 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various calibers, and large-caliber machine guns, they shelled Avdiivka, Novhorodske, Verkhniotoretske, and again Luhanske.

"The invaders made two attempts to assault our positions near the Svitlodarsk salients, and in both cases they were stopped by fire. In addition, the enemy shelled Myronivka village three times over the day, using 152 mm artillery."

It is also reported that in Mariupol direction, the enemy used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars to shell Krasnohorivka, Starohnativka, and Vodiane.

In Luhansk direction, Krymske was impacted by anti-tank guided missiles and 82 mm mortars. Popasna and Zhovte came under grenade launcher fire.

"The total of 22 cases of fire were recorded, three of them impacting a village," the ATO press center summed up.

On Dec. 21, Russian militants conducted 24 cease-fire violations in the Donbas.
