 OSCE recorded 75 percent increase in number of cease-fire violations, - Hug

Half of cease-fire violations in the Donbas is registered at the Svitlodarsk salient.

OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug told journalists during today's briefing, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.

Last week, according to Hug, OSCE monitors recorded 75 percent increase in the number of cease-fire violations compared to previous week while the use of Minsk-proscribed weapons increased by approximately 300 percent.

He said the SMM recorded about 985 mortar, tank, artillery and multiple launch rocket system explosions.

Most of these explosions, namely 843, were registered south and south-east of Svitlodarsk being the hottest spot over the recent period, Hug added.

He also noted there hasn't been a single calm day during 2016 with the SMM having recorded over 300,000 cease-fire violations throughout the year.
