 No one killed, one Ukrainian soldier wounded over past day, - ATO speaker

One Ukrainian soldier received injury in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area Dec. 15.

Spokesperson for Ukraine's Defense Ministry on ATO matters Andrii Lysenko announced at a briefing on Friday, Censor.NET reports.

"No Ukrainian soldiers were killed in action over the past 24-hour period. One serviceman was injured in an armed provocation committed by the militants near Staryi Aidar village," he said.

According to Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, 10,000 Ukrainians have been killed and more than 20,000 wounded since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas in 2014. As reported by the U.N., the total death toll of the conflict in Ukraine from mid-April 2014 to Dec.1, 2016 is 9,758, with another 22,779 people injured.
