As reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the Luhansk regional state administration, this was announced by deputy head of the administration Yurii Klymenko.

"A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy, covered by 120 mm mortar fire, attempted to break through the defenses near Novotoshkivske village. One our fighter was killed in the skirmish," Klymenko said.

He said Russian terrorist troops opened fire 15 times yesterday along the entire demarcation line. The enemy employed automated and rifle-attached grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns and small arms seven times against the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) forces near Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka of Popasna district.

"We are seeing a significant deterioration along the entire contact line. The enemy employs Minsk-banned weapons and conducts cynical sorties to our positions. Today, we lost another son of Ukraine who was defending its sovereignty and independence. My condolences go to the family and friends of the killed soldier. I am certain that in the near future the state flag of Ukraine will be raised above the whole Luhansk region," Klymenko added.

It was reported about 42 attacks by Russian troops against Ukrainian positions over the past 24-hour period, Dec. 1.
