 Bill on increase of funding for Army and law enforcement agencies to be submitted to Rada next week, PM Hroisman says

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to submit to the Verkhovna Rada next week a bill on amendments to the state budget for 2016 to increase funding for the law enforcement agencies.

This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman at a Cabinet meeting, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We made the decision together with you at a government meeting last week, if you remember, on financing of the Armed Forces, Interior Ministry and other law enforcement agencies... Now we expect the decision of the NSDC, and following it, we will submit [the bill] to the parliament next week," Hroisman explained.

He added that the NSDC meeting will be held Sept. 27-28.

According to the schedule, the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada will be held on Oct. 4.

As reported, Sept. 22, the Cabinet approved as a whole the bill increasing expenditures for Ukraine's defense and security sector in 2016 by 6 billion hryvnia (about $231 million). The bill will be consequently resubmitted for parliament's approval after its revision taking in consideration Rada's comments.

41.1 billion hryvnia has been allocated for the Ministry of Internal Affairs this year.
