It is noted that the actions and policies addressed in the previous Executive Orders continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
"I am continuing for one year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13660," the statement reads.
The United States expanded the list of sanctions against Russia late last year.
A total of 34 individuals and legal entities were additionally included in the list.
