 Court starts trying case of former Kyiv region SBU Head Shchioholiev suspected of crimes against Maidan

Today, Feb. 25, the Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv began hearing the case filed against former Head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region Oleksandr Shchioholiev.

Chief judge Oksana Holub said, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.

She has announced beginning of the private session of the court.

No motion for recusal of the judges has been filed so far.

It should be reminded that Oleksandr Shchioholiev is accused of executing the criminal order of his superiors to disperse the protesters Feb. 18, 2014 and taking decision to conduct the anti-terrorist operation by means of the law enforcement officers in Kyiv's downtown.
