 Court in Russian-occupied Crimea took four Crimean Tatars into custody until April 8, - MP Chubarov

The court in Crimea occupied by Russia ruled to take four Crimean Tatars, allegedly arrested on suspicion of terrorism yesterday, into custody until April 8 as a pre-trial restriction.

Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Verkhovna Rada deputy of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Refat Chubarov told reporters, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"Four of our fellow-citizens have received sentences as a pre-trial restriction until April 8. All of them were charged of being allegedly involved in training of the groups intending to commit terrorist attacks in Crimea," Chubarov said.

According to him, the Russian government intends to force Crimean Tatars out of the peninsula.
