"There is only one argument (of those opposing the constitutional reform in terms of decentralization). This 18th article of transitional provisions, where it comes to a special regime of local self-government in some regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are now occupied and not controlled by Ukraine's government," Poroshenko said during a meeting with representatives of territorial communities, Censor.NET reports referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
The head of state said that Ukraine will not give up its temporarily occupied territories in Donbas. "Someone suggests: Let's give it to someone, let's give up Ukrainian land, Ukrainian citizens and live on without them. That's what I do not accept and will never accept. I was elected by people to protect the integrity of Ukraine, and will do everything in my power to return the land to Ukraine," Poroshenko stated.
