 100 Wounded Soldiers Brought to St. Petersburg - Member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation

Member of the Council on the development of civil society and human rights under the President of Russia, and chairman of the Soldiers' Mothers of St. Petersburg Ella Polyakova learned about a large number of wounded soldiers arrival to St. Petersburg.

She announced this in a telephone conversation with TV channel Dozhd, Censor.NET informs.

"A plane with a large number of wounded servicemen came to the military medical academy," she said. The Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg named after S.M. Kirov is meant.

According to her, about a hundred wounded soldiers were on board. She does not currently know where and under what circumstances they were injured. She clarifies this information.

It was reported earlier today that Polyakova and another member of the Council Sergey Krivenko have sent a request to the Investigation Committee to conduct an investigation of the death of the 18th Motorized Brigade soldiers under contract (military base # 27777), natives of Dagestan. Officially, they were killed on the shooting ground in the Rostov Region on August 9 and 11.

Polyakova has explained to Dozhd that a two-week delay in the request delivery to the investigators was related to the necessity to double-check the information.
